LONDON (Alliance News) - A workers' strike against Royal Mail PLC planned for Monday has been called off after progress was made in talks over pay and pensions, the BBC reported Thursday.
The Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union said they were committed to "finalising an agreement" by November 13, the BBC said.
The planned industrial action would have been the first national strike at Royal Mail in almost four years, the BBC said, and follows the privatization of Royal Mail earlier this month.
