(Alliance News) - The UK government's debt has reached the size of the country's total annual output, data showed Friday, as the new Labour government warns of tough decisions on tax and spending before its upcoming maiden budget.
"Public sector net debt... was provisionally estimated at 100% of gross domestic product at the end of August," the Office for National Statistics said in a release.
