(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Pearson PLC - education publisher - Adds Andy Bird, the former chair of Walt Disney International, to board as independent non-executive director, from May 1. Bird spend 14 years at Walt Disney Co, as president and then chair of International. In China, he created Disney English, which teaches English language to Chinese families through immersive learning.

Sage Group PLC - Hires Sangeeta Anand and Irana Wasti as independent non-executive directors, from May 1. Anand is chief marketing officer for Alkira Inc, a software start-up in San Jose, California, and previously worked at Cisco Systems Inc. Wasti is president of internet domain services provider GoDaddy EMEA. Non-Executive Director Cath Keers to work with Sage's brand and customer teams on projects and therefore will no longer by classified as independent.

MENA Land PLC - UAE real-estate developer - Appoints Khalifa AlHammadi as chair and Paresh Khiara as chief financial officer. AlHammadi is CEO of Union Properties PJSC in the UAE and chair of Blue Stone (Jordan) Investments PSC in Jordan. Khiara is a chartered accountant who has served in a number of senior banking roles. Meanwhile, John-Paul Etheridge has resigned from the MENA Land board "for personal reasons".

Quixant PLC - computing solutions and monitors for gaming - Hires Nigel Payne as independent non-executive director, starting July 1. Payne was CEO of Sportsbetting PLC. He currently is chair of Gateley Holdings PLC and a non-executive director of GetBusy PLC.
