UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Connect Picks Ex-Synthomer CFO As Chair

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Connect Group PLC - distributor - Hires David Blackwood as non-executive chair from May 13, replacing Gary Kennedy. Blackwood was chief financial officer of polymers firm Synthomer PLC. He currently is a non-executive director of Stobart Group Ltd, Dignity PLC and Scapa Group PLC.

Next Fifteen Communications Group PLC - marketing - Promotes Non-Executive Director Penny Ladkin-Brand to chair, from February 1 next year. The Future PLC CFO replaces Richard Eyre, who will stand down after nine years in post. Until February, Ladkin-Brand will be senior independent director. At Future, she is set to move to chief strategy officer from June 1 and step down from the Future board.

Verditek PLC - solar panels - Promotes recent-hire Rob Richards from commercial director to CEO, effective immediately. He replaces Geoff Nesbitt, who steps down from the board but remains with the company as chief technology officer. Richards joined Verditek in mid-April from Ecolog, having worked in the oil & gas industry in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore for 20 years.

BMO UK High Income Trust PLC - dividend-focused investment trust - Hires Helen Galbraith and Stephen Mitchell as non-executive directors from May 6. Galbraith is an Aviva and Standard Life insurance and asset management veteran, while Mitchell has been a global equity specialist at JPMorgan Asset Management and Jupiter Asset Management.

ValiRx PLC - clinical stage biotechnology - Hires Martin Lampshire as non-executive director, effective immediately. Lampshire is a City veteran, working at Lloyds Bank, Charles Stanley and Teather & Greenwood, among other firms.

US Solar Fund PLC - solar power asset investment - Josephine Tan resigns as non-executive director from May 15 to take up a new executive position.

Oakley Capital Investments Ltd - investment vehicle which provides access to Oakley Funds - Laurence Blackall to step down as non-executive director at May 26 annual general meeting, after 12 years.
