UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Aquila Services Sheds CEO To Save Cost

7th Apr 2020 13:57

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and late Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Aquila Services Group PLC - Steve Douglas steps down as chief executive officer as part of cost cuts to cope with Covid-19 crisis. Derek Joseph moves to executive from non-executive chair on a part-time basis "until the crisis has abated and the group can plan how best to return to a growth path". Other cost savings include proposing no dividend for the financial year that ended last week, even though the company remained profitable and cash generative that year. Aquila provides consultancy and support services to the affordable housing, education, sports and community services sectors, and these organisations now are unable to make commitments during the period of uncertainty caused by the virus pandemic.

----------

Benchmark Holdings PLC - Hires Trond Williksen as CEO from June 1. The aquaculture genetics company said Williksen is a 20-year veteran in that field, most recently as CEO of SalMar ASA, a Norwegian fish farm company. Once he joins, Peter George will revert to non-executive chair.

----------

RM PLC - Communisis PLC CEO Andy Blundell to step down as non-executive director of RM on May 24.

----------

San Leon Energy PLC - Adekolapo Ademola joins board as non-executive director, representing Midwestern Oil & Gas Co Ltd, a 14% shareholder. Ademola is founder & CEO of Loyalty Solutions Ltd in Nigeria.

----------

Velocity Composites PLC - Hires Margaret Amos as independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Amos is a 27-year veteran of Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC in finance, strategy, supply chain and programme management.

----------

Volution Group PLC - Hires Diploma PLC Finance Director Nigel Lingwood as independent non-executive director. Lingwood is leaving Diploma at the end of September.
