LONDON (Alliance News) - Property regeneration company U & I Group PLC on Wednesday said it has appointed Peter Williams as a non-executive director and chairman-designate.
He will join the company as a non-executive on January 4, 2016, before taking over from David Jenkins as chairman when the latter retires after the company's annual general meeting on July 14, 2016.
Williams is the former chief executive of department store Selfridges PLC and currently serves as chairman of Boohoo.com, the London-listed online fashion retailer. He is also a senior independent non-executive director at Rightmove PLC, the online property portal.
Shares in U & I were up 2.4% to 228.00 pence on Wednesday.
