LONDON (Alliance News) - TyraTech Inc saw its shares rise Wednesday, after the biotechnology company said its Vamousse head lice product line will soon be stocked in J Sainsbury PLC and Tesco PLC supermarkets in the UK.
The company, which focuses on nature-derived insect and parasite control products, said it expects the first products to appear in UK stores in September, having previously secured product listings for the Vamousse range in Superdrug and Boots stores in the UK.
TyraTech shares were up 7.1% at 7.89 pence Wednesday mid-morning.
"We are very pleased to have secured, in a short period of time and ahead of the lice season, the inclusion of our Vamousse product range in a number of the major distributors in the pharmacy, health and beauty, and grocery distribution channels in the UK market. In addition, we are extending our distribution network in the USA on-line and through a network of independent pharmacies," said Chief Executive Bruno Jactel in a statement.
The company's Vamousse head lice product range, which includes its Vamousse Treatment mousse and Vamousse Protection shampoo, is currently stock in over 4000 Walmart stores in the US, and earlier this year also became available to purchase online across the US.
