LONDON (Alliance News) - Two Shields Investments PLC on Monday said Kalahari Key Mineral Exploration Pty Ltd has signed a contract for a 2,500 line-kilometre airborne geophysics survey at Molopo farms complex in southern Botswana and the Republic of South Africa.
Two Shields holds a 22% interest in Kalahari Key, which is a mineral exploration company.
Kalahari Key has signed an agreement with airborne geophysical company New Resolution Geophysics to undertake a helicopter-supported survey using NRG's XciteTM airborne electromagnetic system.
The survey is designed to identify large targets that could represent deposits of nickel, cobalt, copper and platinum group metals, Two Shields said. These are the key metals used in next generation batteries that fuel the new electric vehicle revolution.
"We are pleased with the work progress of Kalahari Key and its expert team," said Two Shields Chairman Charlie Wood. "We look forward to following the progress of the survey and the results later in the year."
Shares in Two Shields were trading 2.3% higher on Monday at 0.22 pence each.
