Two Investec Executives Step Down As Two Non-Executive Directors Join

2nd Jul 2019 07:39

(Alliance News) - Investec PLC said Tuesday it has made several changes to its board, with the two executive directors stepping down and two non-executives being appointed.

Executive Directors Stephen Koseff and Bernard Kantor are to step down from their roles with effect on August 8.

Koseff and Kantor were formerly chief executive officer and managing director respectively at the specialist banking and asset management firm before announcing in February 2018 that they would stand down from their roles in October and eventually leave the company in 2019.

"The board would like to thank Stephen and Bernard for their exemplary service, dedication and commitment to the group since the 1980s," Investec said.

In addition, Investec has appointed Henrietta Baldock and Philisiwe Sibiya as non-executive directors with effect on August 9.

Baldock is currently a non-executive director at London-listed insurer Legal & General Group PLC, and prior to that was chair of European Financial Institutions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Sibiya is chair and chief executive officer of pan-African investment holding firm Shingai Group, and prior to that was part of telecoms firm MTN Group Ltd in several roles, leaving as chief executive officer for MTN Cameroon in 2018.
