Tungsten Corp Network Accredited As UK Government Cloud Supplier

4th Jun 2014 11:04

LONDON (Alliance News) - Tungsten Corp PLC Wednesday said its e-invoicing network has been accredited as a supplier of the UK government's G-Cloud 5 framework, as it looks to cement its relationship with the public sector.

The framework, managed by the Crown Commercial Service, has been established for use by UK public-sector bodies, including central government departments and their arm's length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, National Health Service bodies and local authorities.

Tungsten said it sees the development as a step towards establishing relations with the public sector and strengthening its operations, adding that accreditation will help to accelerate business development as public-sector bodies benefit from pre-negotiated terms and fixed prices.

"This is another key development for Tungsten Network as we expand our customer base, and bring the value of electronic invoicing to governments and their citizens around the world," Chief Executive Edmund Truell said in a statement.

The news comes after Tungsten Corp last week said it has received regulatory approval for its acquisition of FIBI Bank (UK) PLC.

Tungsten Corp shares were Wednesday quoted at 285.88 pence, up 8.6%.
