LONDON (Alliance News) - Tullett Prebon PLC said Thursday that it has appointed John Phizackerley as an executive director and chief executive officer of the Company, with effect from September 1, 2014.
Phizackerley takes on the role from outgoing CEO Terry Smith who will stand down August 31, 2014.
The newly appointed CEO previously held a number of senior management positions at Nomura International PLC from 2009 to 2013, including CEO for EMEA from March 2011 to May 2013.
Tullett Prebon said Smith has agreed to work with the company as a consultant over the next two years upon stepping down as an executive director. He will receive a fee of GBP250,000 per annum for the consultancy services.
Shares in Tullett Prebon were Thursday morning trading marginally lower, down 0.68% at 248.30 pence per share.
