(Alliance News) - Tufton Oceanic Assets Ltd on Thursday said it has agreed to acquire a containership for USD8.8 million.
The shipping company said this acquisition will take its fleet to seventeen vessels.
Tufton said it intends to fund the purchase entirely from the proceeds of the placing announced on September 20.
At the time, the company had raised USD31 million via a placing of 30.7 million shares.
Looking ahead, the company said its investment manager Tufton Oceanic Ltd continues to identify an attractive pipeline of opportunities across a range of its target sectors.
Tufton Oceanic Assets shares were untraded on Thursday in London, last closing at USD1.02 each.
