Trinity Mirror Says Court Refuses Appeal Against Phone Hacking Ruling

23rd Mar 2016 13:54

LONDON (Alliance News) - Newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror PLC on Wednesday said the UK Supreme Court has refused its application to appeal against the Court of Appeal's judgement on civil claims arising from phone hacking.

The company said there remains ongoing uncertainty about how matters regarding compensation related to phone hacking will progress, but said no change has been to the existing provisions booked against the claims.

Trinity said it will provide a further update should its financial exposure to the claims change.

Trinity Mirror shares were down 2.8% to 129.25 pence.
