LONDON (Alliance News) - Trinity Mirror PLC Tuesday said its Chief Operating Officer, Mark Hollinshead, has resigned to take up the role of chief executive of sporting events company Nova International Ltd.
The newspaper group, which publishes the Daily Mirror among other titles, said Hollinshead is expected to leave the company and take up his new role in 2015, although the effective date of the board change is yet to be confirmed.
Hollinshead was at Trinity Mirror for 17 years.
Newcastle-based Nova organises and provides rights management for mass participation and televised sporting events. One of the partners listed on Nova's website is Trinity Mirror's Daily Mirror newspaper.
Trinity Mirror shares were trading 1.9% higher Tuesday midday at 194.61 pence.
