LONDON (Alliance News) - Tricor PLC and Medusa Mining Ltd Monday both said operations in the Philippines have not been affected by the devastating Typhoon Haiyan.
Tricor, an investment company with iron sand and sand trading operations in the Philippines, said the typhoon hit several hundred kilometres south of its sites and sand shipments and construction of an iron sand plant are continuing as planned.
Separately Medusa Mining, a gold producer with operations in the Philippines, said that the typhoon passed well to the north of the company's operations in Central East Mindanao.
Tricor shares were down 2.4% to 8.30 pence and Medusa shares were up 0.2% to 109.68 pence on Monday.
