(Alliance News) - Travis Perkins PLC on Wednesday announced that it has appointed Jasmine Whitbread as a director and non-executive chair with effect on March 31.
She will be replacing Stuart Chambers, who will be leaving the board of the FTSE 250 builders' merchant after four years since 2017.
Whitbread is currently chief executive officer at not-for-profit business advocacy group London First, a role she was held for five years since 2016. Prior to that, she was CEO of Save the Children International for five years from 2010 to 2015.
"We are delighted to announce Jasmine's appointment. Jasmine has over a decade of experience on the boards of large public companies for whom she has chaired key committees. She brings extensive leadership, third sector and commercial experience with exceptional strength in managing stakeholder relationships including with investors, governments, customers, partners and teams," said Senior Independent Director Pete Redfern.
Shares in Travis Perkins were up 1.5% at 1,402.00 on Wednesday in London.
