Transense Technologies Launches Opti-Tread Product With US Partner

28th Oct 2014 09:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Transense Technologies PLC on Tuesday said its Translogik subsidiary's US partner has launched the Opti-Tread Premium portable car tyre audit system.

Under the deal, Snap-On Equipment, a subsidiary of Snap-On Corp, has become the first major distributor for Translogik's US partner, Squarerigger. Snap-On will market the Opti-Tread Product through its John Bean brand.

The system is designed for vehicle service centres to use in providing tyre condition data which will enable them to increase sales and ensure customers' tyres are safe, Transense said.

"This is a significant opportunity for Translogik's tyre inspection probe products, as the move into the passenger car tyre market offers the potential for additional sales in the coming years, over and above that of the commercial vehicle market. We look forward to building on our successful contribution to tyre management for commercial fleets with the growing adoption of the Opti-Tread® system and its application to passenger cars and light commercial vehicles," said Translogik Chief Executive Officer Laren Yeomans.

Transense shares were up 8.4% to 5.15 pence on Tuesday morning.
