LONDON (Alliance News) - Trans-Siberian Gold PLC said Monday that total gold production at its Asacha mine in Russia rose 23% in 2014 compared to the year before, with silver production up 15%.
In an update, the company said ore extraction in its fourth quarter was 49,739 metric tonnes, compared to 49,091 metric tonnes in the third quarter.
Some 38,935 metric tonnes was processed through its Asacha plant during the quarter at an average gold grade of 8.74 grams per tonne, and an average silver grade of 16.35 grams per tonne.
The company said it expects to report Asacha's production for the first quarter of 2015 in April.
Shares in Trans-Siberian are trading up 15% at 12.25 pence Monday morning.
