LONDON (Alliance News) - Trans-Siberian Gold PLC Monday said gold and silver production both rose in the first half of 2015.
The Russian gold miner said refined gold production totalled 17,746 ounces in the first-half, up from 16,342 ounces a year earlier, whilst refined silver production increased to 23,420 ounces from 22,226 ounces.
However, refined gold production fell quarter-on-quarter to 8,238 ounces in the second quarter from 9,508 ounces, whilst refined silver production fell to 10,116 ounces from 13.304 ounces.
Gold dore production in the first-half rose to 19,088 ounces from 16,526 ounces a year earlier, and silver dore production rose to 25,594 ounces from 22,003 ounces.
A dore bar is a semi-pure alloy of gold and silver created at the site of a mine. It can be primarily gold or primarily silver.
Gold dore production rose quarter-on-quarter to 10,044 ounces in the second quarter from 9,044 ounces, whilst silver dore production rose to 12,847 ounces from 12,747 ounces.
Trans-Siberian gold shares were untraded at 12.00 pence per share on Monday morning.
