Avon Technologies PLC - Wiltshire, England-based protective gear company, formerly known as Avon Protection - Signs a "multi-million-pound" UK contract renewal with aerospace and defence firm Thales UK. The pact is for the "support of a critical UK defence programme". "Avon has supplied this capability to Thales for over 10 years. Under this new multi-year contract renewal valued at up to GBP10 million Avon Protection will continue to supply vital capability for the defence of the UK over the next 6 years," Avon Technologies says. Avon Protection President Steve Elwell says: "This award is strategically important for Avon Protection. It demonstrates our contribution to the overall health and resilience of the UK defence industrial base. We look forward to continuing to provide the UK with a world-leading sovereign capability from our facility in Melksham, whilst continuing to work on new and innovative technologies that defend our nation."

Central Asia Metals PLC - London-based owner of Kounrad SX-EW copper project in central Kazakhstan and Sasa zinc-lead mine in North Macedonia - Guides for copper production of 13,000 to 14,000 tonnes at its Kounrad copper recovery plant in Kazakhstan, similar to 13,439t it produced in 2024. At its Sasa project, it targets zinc production of 19,000 to 21,000 tonnes, up at least 2.3% from 18,572t in 2024. Chief Executive Officer Gavin Ferrar says: "As a group, we look forward to 2025 for another year of safe, reliable production from our existing operations, and to continuing the search for an acquisition to grow the business."

GetBusy PLC - Cambridge, England-based document management and productivity software provider - Deepens partnership with Intuit Inc, a Mountain View, California-based provider of tax software to accounting professionals, with the addition of Intuit ProConnect Tax into the suite of products integrating natively with SmartVault. GetBusy CEO Daniel Rabie says: "We're very excited to strengthen our long-standing strategic partnership with Intuit by providing the only natively integrated document management solution for ProConnect customers, supporting the acceleration of cloud adoption for the 100,000 users of Intuit's Lacerte and ProSeries tax products as well as ProConnect's rapidly increasing market share."

Ilika PLC - Romsey, England-based solid-state battery technology company - Announces start of production of Stereax batteries for process qualification, as micro-battery manufacturing equipment commissioning has completed at Cirtec Medical's facilities. Cirtec Medical CEO Brian Highley says: "This marks a pivotal achievement in the collaboration between Ilika, a leader in advanced miniaturised solid state battery technology, and Cirtec, renowned developing and manufacturing implantable medical devices and complex catheters and delivery systems. By leveraging our combined expertise, the Stereax battery integrates high-energy density with reliable durability and long battery life, offering enhanced efficiency and miniaturisation for a variety of medical applications."

Zephyr Energy PLC - Rocky Mountain region-focused oil and gas company that aims for responsible resource development and carbon-neutral operations - Confirms the Nabors Drilling USA B29 rig is now being mobilised to site, with the rigging up process expected to be completed shortly. CEO Colin Harrington says: "We remain on target to start drilling the extended lateral in mid-January 2025, following which we will complete and production test the extended reservoir interval. The well has the potential to be a major catalyst in the development of the Paradox project and we look forward to providing further updates on progress in due course."
