LONDON (Alliance News) - Closed-end investment company Trading Emissions PLC on Monday said it continues to focus on realising its assets and distributing the proceeds to its shareholders as its net asset value fell in the year to the end of June.
The fund, which invests in environmental assets, said its net asset value per share fell to 10.6 pence at the end of June, from 15.1 pence at the end of December and from 15.2 pence a year earlier.
The company is focused on selling its remaining assets and the fall in the net asset value reflected this process, with its total net asset value falling to GBP26.6 million from GBP37.9 million a year earlier.
It said it will continue selling assets and controlling costs tightly in order to then return funds to shareholders.
Shares in Trading Emissions were down 0.8% to 6.15 pence on Monday.
