(Alliance News) - TP Group PLC said Thursday it has been awarded a two-year GBP5 million UK Ministry of Defence consulting contract.
The engineering services firm said the contract has an option to extend for a further six months, worth an additional GBP1 million.
The contract is to provide multi-disciplinary customer support to the army's headquarters multi-billion-pound Land Environment Tactical Communication and Information Services & Systems Programme, the company said.
The work involves a wide range of technical, transformation and programme management activities that will be delivered by its Consulting and Programme Services business, the company said, "building on the continuous support provided by this team since 2016."
Phil Cartmell, chief executive officer, said: "The renewal of this contract is an excellent return on all the hard work and technical support provided by the TP Group team over the last 3 years. Army HQ have become a major customer for the group and this work has been at the centre of significant growth in our consulting business."
TP Group shares were trading 2.4% lower in London at 6.15 pence each on Thursday.
