Tower Resources Subsidiary Notified That Drilling Of Welwitschia-1A Has Re-Commenced

4th Jun 2014 11:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Tower Resources PLC said Wednesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Neptune Petroleum Ltd, has been notified that drilling of the Welwitschia-1A well re-commenced Wednesday morning.

The AIM-listed Africa-focused oil and gas exploration company said Neptune Petroleum has received notification from Repsol Exploration (Namibia) Ltd, the operator of Namibia PEL0010 - within which Neptune has a 30% working interest - that the drilling of Welwitschia-1A well has now re-commenced.

Last month Tower Resources said it expected the Nambia drilling to recommence during the first week of June. The company said that while the drilling schedule was delayed, there would be no material financial consequence for the company.

Shares in Tower Resources were trading 1.59% higher at 3.2 pence per share Wednesday afternoon.
