LONDON (Alliance News) - Toumaz Ltd, the low power wireless semiconductor company, said Tuesday that its consumer audio division Frontier Silicon gained UK Digital Tick Mark technology approval.
The Digital Tick Mark is part of the UK government's strategy to develop a digital future for radio. The aim of the Tick Mark is to give consumers confidence that digital radios are capable of receiving and playing DAB, DAB+ and FM signals.
Toumaz said its was granted approved technology status to solutions based on Frontier Silicon's two best-selling modules, which together have sold over six million units.
The solutions passed more than 1,800 tests, each designed to test performance and reliability, such as digital tuning, service scanning and character display, Toumaz said.
Toumaz shares were up 2.6% at 4.74 pence Tuesday afternoon.
