Toumaz Says SensiumVitals Being Trialled By St James's Hospital

13th Jul 2015 08:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Wireless semiconductor technologies company Toumaz Ltd on Monday said its SensiumVitals wearable vital-signs monitoring system is being trialled at St James's University Hospital, part of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The trial will investigate the clinical benefits of the SensiumVitals system, its health economic impact and will canvas patient views. It is being used on two colorectal surgery wards to monitor patients following major abdominal surgery.

"This trial with St James's, one of the UK's most highly regarded hospitals, is an important step forward for SensiumVitals. Working with the hospital's team, our aim is to demonstrate that the system improves patient care, shortens hospital stays and reduces healthcare costs," said Toumaz Chief Executive Anthony Sethill.

Shares in Toumaz were untraded Monday morning, having last traded at 3.88 pence.
