LONDON (Alliance News) - Toumaz Ltd said Friday its consumer audio division has launched a new digital radio module, called Verona 2, based on its Kino 4 chip.
The new module uses half the power of the preceding Verona 1 model, and Toumaz said it has enhanced performance and functionality and costs less than previous products.
The module will be able to power all major categories of consumer Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) devices, including portable radios, clock radios, docks, home audio systems and radio receivers with Bluetooth connectivity.
"Digital radio is making strong international advances. As the global market matures, it is critical that technology solutions continue to drive this progress," said Chief Executive Anthony Sethill in a statement.
Shares in Toumaz were trading up 3.1% at 6.70 pence Friday morning.
