LONDON (Alliance News) - Toumaz Ltd said Wednesday that its consumer audio division has been chosen as technology supplier for a new range of wireless speakers from Koninklijke Philips NV and Spotify Ltd, which were launched at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin.
The speakers are designed for use with the 'Spotify Connect' music streaming service, which lets users control music via a smartphone or tablet and play it through compatible electronic devices. The new speakers can be used across multiple rooms through Toumaz's Venice 6.5 module.
"We are very excited to be part of this product launch. For a brand like Philips to rely on our solution for this range, is recognition of our robust technology and dedication to our customers," said Chief Executive Anthony Sethill in a statement.
Shares in Toumaz were trading up 9.5% at 6.84 pence Wednesday.
