(Alliance News) - Totally PLC on said Friday that its Urgent Care division had secured new contracts and multiple extensions for a total value of more than GBP54 million.

The Derby, England-based healthcare service provider said Vocare Ltd - part of Totally's Urgent Care Division - was awarded a new contract with NHS England's Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent clinical commissioning groups for the provision of GP out of hours services.

Vocare already provides GP out of hours services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent as part of a contract for Integrated Urgent Care. This new contract has a total value of GBP45 million over five years, with an option to extend for a further two years. Totally said it expects to mobilise the service by April.

NHS 111 is a medical helpline and online service operating England, Scotland and parts of Wales. The service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and is intended for urgent but not life-threatening health issues.

The contracts, which will run for a duration of three months, complement the NHS 111 telephone services that the division currently delivers. Collectively, the two contracts are worth a total of GBP600,000.

Greenbrook has also been awarded multiple contract extensions for the delivery of urgent treatment centres in South East London. The contract extensions are valued at a total of GBP8.6 million and run for periods of between six and 12 months. These extensions mean that Greenbrook will continue to provide support in Urgent Care as pressure on the NHS remains high during the pandemic, Totally explained.
