Total Produce Has Resilient Trading Despite Virus Hit To Food Service

23rd Nov 2020 14:21

(Alliance News) - Total Produce PLC on Monday reported that trading for the 10 months ended October 31 has remained positive despite difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Irish fresh produce company's sales continued to be "resilient" in its Wholesale and Retail operations, which offset the reduced demand in Food Service. Sales, adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, and adjusted earning per share are expected to be "slightly ahead" of 2019's figures.

Last year, revenue was EUR6.2 billion and adjusted Ebitda was EUR202.8 million.

Total Produce said its "strong presence in the global fresh produce industry, the diversity of its operations and products, together with the exceptional response from our people, enables us to meet the challenges."

Shares in Total Produce were up 6.3% at 119.60 pence in London on Monday.
