TOP NEWS: Workspace Gets Planning Permission For Stratford Project

19th Sep 2016 06:25

LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed flexible office space provider Workspace Group PLC on Monday said it has secured planning permission for the redevelopment of Stratford Office Village.

The village is located close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, and currently consists of self-contained offices.

Workspace has secured permission to replace the existing buildings on the site with a redevelopment including 101 residential units and 13,000 square feet of new commercial space.

"We are delighted to have received planning permission for this redevelopment in Stratford, which will considerably increase the capital value of the site. This is one of a pipeline of opportunities that we are actively managing in order to drive shareholder returns over the long term," said Jamie Hopkins, Workspace's chief executive.
