LONDON (Alliance News) - Events company UBM PLC on Wednesday said it has struck a USD17.6 million cash deal to acquire Content Marketing Institute.
Content Marketing Institute produces Content Marketing World, a content marketing sector event which runs in September at the Cleveland Convention Center in the US state of Ohio. The firm also produces a number of supporting conferences and websites for the content marketing industry.
UBM said the content marketing sector will complement its existing presence in the technology sector.
"Our 'Events First' strategy focuses on improving the quality of UBM's portfolio and Content Marketing World, as the leading event in this high-growth sector, enhances our portfolio and strengthens our leading position in the US events industry," said Tim Cobbold, UBM's chief executive.
