(Alliance News) - Food delivery platform Just Eat Takeaway.com NV on Monday announced a partnership with J Sainsbury PLC for grocery delivery in the UK.
The partnership will launch with more than 175 Sainsbury's stores by the end of February in locations such as London, Edinburgh and Bristol. Just Eat plans to roll out the service to more cities during 2023.
As a result of the contract, Just Eat customers will have access to thousands of products, including Sainsbury's own brand products, for delivery, Just Eat says.
Just Eat aims to deliver from Sainsbury's to customers in under 30 minutes.
Sainsbury's shares were 0.8% higher at 242.90 pence each in London on Monday morning, while Just Eat shares were down 2.6% to 2,129.00p each.
