TOP NEWS: Grainger Chairman Ford To Leave, Ex-Barratt Chief To Step In

4th Jan 2017 07:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - Residential landlord Grainger PLC on Wednesday said Baroness Margaret Ford will retire as the group's chairman after its annual general meeting on February 8.

Ford has been on the board of the group for nine years, including two as chairman.

She will be replaced by Mark Clare, who will take up the role on February 13. Clare is the former chief executive of blue-chip housebuilder Barratt Developments PLC and sits on the board of water company United Utilities Group PLC and bookmaker Ladbrokes Coral Group PLC.

Grainger has also appointed Justin Read to its board as a non-executive director. He will join the same day as Clare. Read is the former finance director of industrial property investor SEGRO PLC.
