TOP NEWS: Computacenter Sees More Challenging Year For UK Arm

21st Apr 2016 06:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Computacenter PLC Thursday said it continues to expect 2016 to be a "year of progress", although it continues to expect a more challenging year in the UK, particularly in its first half, as it reported a 2% rise in revenue for the first quarter.

Computacenter said revenue rose to GBP730.2 million in the first quarter of 2016, up from GBP715.8 million the previous year. At constant currency, revenue was flat.

This included a 4% decline in revenue in the UK to GBP348.5 million from GBP361.3 million, and a 6% decline in France at constant currency, offset by a 7% rise in Germany at constant currency.

"Our momentum in Germany and pleasing performance compared to the past in France, looks set to continue. While the UK will have a more challenging year particularly in the first half as previously indicated, the new business pipeline is beginning to build," the company said in a statement.

Computacenter will report its interim results August 26.
