(Alliance News) - Berkeley Group Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it hired former Schroders PLC chair Michael Dobson as chair, who will start the role in September.
Dobson recently stepped down as chair of Schroders after six years. On Wednesday he joins the board of Surrey-based property developer and house-builder Berkeley as independent non-executive director. He will replace current Chair Glyn Barker on September 6.
"Glyn was appointed chair in July 2020 for a period of two years to oversee the transition of the board on the passing of the company's founder and previous chair, Tony Pidgley," Berkeley explained.
Berkeley Group Holdings shares were down 0.4% at 4,253.62 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
