TOP NEWS: Barratt Developments CFO Leaves Role With Immediate Effect

LONDON (Alliance News) - Barratt Developments PLC said Thursday its Chief Financial Officer Neil Cooper has left the company by mutual agreement.

FTSE 100-listed Barratt said Cooper's role will temporarily be filled by David Thomas, its current chief executive officer. Thomas will be supported by Philip Schumacher, financial controller, and John Flynn, housebuilding financial controller, said Barratt.

No explanation for Cooper's departure was given and Barratt said it will being looking for a new CFO immediately.

Last Thursday the company said in a trading update it expects a rise in its interim pretax profit to the end of 2016 and it is on track for its full year guidance.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Neil for his contribution during his time with us and we wish him well for the future," said John Allan, chairman of Barratt.

Shares in Barratt Developments were down 3.0% at 501.00 pence Thursday afternoon.
