LONDON (Alliance News) - Sports marketing company TLA Worldwide PLC on Monday said it has struck a partnership with TEG Pty Ltd, an Australian ticketing and live entertainment company, to bring the 2016 season of American college football to Australia.
Under the deal, the pair will work together on organising and promoting the opening fixture of the 2016 NCAA College Football Championships, between the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Hawaii, in Sydney. NCAA stands for National Collegiate Athletic Association.
It will mark the first time in more than thirty years an NCAA regular season game has been played in Australia.
The match is due to take place on August 27, 2016 at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
No financial details on the partnership were disclosed.
TLA shares were down 1.1% to 44.50 pence.
