12th Jul 2016 14:19

LONDON (Alliance News) - TLA Worldwide PLC Tuesday said its portfolio of clients now has 22 Major League Baseball All-Stars after three players were selected to take part in the All-Star game in California later Tuesday.

TLA Worldwide is a talent representation and sports marketing group, representing different types of clients in the UK, US and Australia.

It now has 22 clients that are recognised as Major League Baseball All-Stars after three more of its clients were chosen to play in the All-Star game to be held Tuesday in San Diego.

The Major League Baseball All-Star game is held annually at this time of year during a four-day break from the regular-season schedule, which brings together the best players from both the American League and National League.

The three players recently chosen are Mookie Betts, Starling Marte, and Aaron Sanchez, who will all join the other 19 previous All-Star players on TLA Worldwide's books.

"We are extremely proud of our athletes selected to participate in the 2016 All-Star game. Their selection is a strong testament to the talent fostered at TLA, the ongoing success of our athletes on the field, and our commitment to the great sport of baseball," said Chief Executive and Co-Founder Michael Principle.

TLA Worldwide is set to be acquired by Nasdaq-listed Atlantic Alliance Partnership Corp and the deal, which is not yet firm, is expected to close in the "fall of 2016", when TLA will delist from AIM.

The offer values TLA at 65.00 pence per share, or about GBP98.5 million.

TLA shares were down 3.5% to 55.0 pence per share on Tuesday.
