LONDON (Alliance News) - Tissue Regenix Group PLC on Monday said its DermaPure wound care product has been featured in a US television show highlighting the role it played in saving a person's leg from frost bite.
Tissue Regenix said DermaPure was featured in The Balancing Act and the programme highlighted how the product saved an 18-year-old boy's leg from frost bite.
DermaPure is a skin substitute that works by taking donor skin and removing DNA and cells using the company's dCELL process to leave a natural scaffold that can be placed in the wound and aid natural healing.
"This programme highlights the tremendous advance represented by DermaPure® and its capacity to heal many types of wounds, including old chronic wounds which are traditionally more challenging to treat," said Antony Odell, Tissue Regenix's chief executive.
Shares in Tissue Regenix shares were up 4.4% to 21.00 pence on Monday.
