LONDON (Alliance News) - Tissue Regenix Group PLC said Monday that its partner Community Tissue Services had begun first US production of DermaPure, its decellularised human skin application.
The technology works by taking donor human skin and removing DNA and cells, leaving a scaffold that can be applied to a wound to aid natural healing.
The company signed a processing agreement with Community Tissue Services in June. It said it expects commercial launch of DermaPure in the US in the first half of 2014.
Shares in Tissue Regenix were trading up 6.8% at 10.95 pence Monday morning.
