LONDON (Alliance News) - Tissue Regenix Group PLC on Thursday said it has secured coverage for its DermaPure wound treatment for an additional 10 US states under the country's social insurance programme, Medicare.
This adds Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin, and an additional 7.5 million beneficiaries under Medicare. This means that the company has now secured Medicare reimbursement in 47 states, or around 93% of traditional Medicare beneficiaries.
"We welcome the decision by National Government Services to retire their LCD allowing for the use of clinically advanced and novel wound care products, which will ultimately benefit the treatment and recovery of patients. We are delighted that DermaPure now has Medicare coverage in 47 States allowing physicians to access and employ our unique dCELL Technology which has the potential to offer superior clinical and economic outcomes," said Patti Gary, vice president of clinical affairs for Tissue Regenix Wound Care.
Shares in Tissue Regenix were down 1.4% at 19.73 pence Thursday.
