Thor Mining To Re-Assay Drilling Samples From Pilot Mountain For Gold

25th Jun 2019 15:08

(Alliance News) - Thor Mining PLC said Tuesday it will re-assay for gold the samples taken from drilling at its Pilot Mountain project in Nevada, US.

The fresh assay at Pilot Mountain - which is wholly-own by Thor - follows gold assays received by Thor from the Desert Scheelite deposit using the metallurgical testwork results from drill samples.

The re-assay will see up to 1,200 samples from 27 drill holes taken between 2012 and 2017.

"This is potentially a very exciting phase for our 100% owned Pilot Mountain project," Thor Executive Chair Mick Billing said.

"In the event that gold appears with any consistency in the Pilot Mountain deposits, we may have a step change of substance for this project," Billing added.

Shares in Thor were 1.2% lower at 0.84 pence in London on Tuesday.
