LONDON (Alliance News) - Thor Mining PLC has received further positive results from the Bonya tungsten deposits in Australia's Northern Territory, it said Tuesday.
The Bonya project is part of a joint venture with Arafura Resources Ltd. Thor owns 40% and provides 40% of costs.
Results from the Samarkand prospect include 15 metres at 0.4% tungsten trioxide, eight metres at 0.4% tungsten trioxide, and 11 metres at 0.6% tungsten trioxide.
Thor has also found five metres at 0.5% copper, 12 metres at 0.7% copper, and six metres at 1.0% copper.
Executive Chair Mick Billing said: "More very good X-ray fluorescence tungsten results along with exciting copper readings from the Samarkand deposit at Bonya.
"The proposed Molyhil processing facility is designed to extract copper as well as tungsten and molybdenum so any primary copper at Bonya can be extracted at minimal additional cost."
"We look forward to the full laboratory assays from this drill program, along with results from the trench sampling from Marrakech and Tashkent, all expected during May," he added.
Thor shares were 1.6% higher on Tuesday shortly after midday at 0.76 pence each.
