(Alliance News) - Thor Mining PLC on Monday reported positive preliminary results from the second round of drilling at the Bonya project, located in the Northern Territory of Australia.
The Bonya project is held in joint venture between Arafura Resources Ltd and Thor, holding 60% and 40%, respectively, with Thor acting as manager.
The AIM-listed miner said a total of 11 holes were drilled at the White Violet deposit, a part of Bonya project.
"It is very exciting to have confirmation of both consistency of mineralisation and extensions to strike at the White Violet deposit," said Executive Chair Mick Billing.
He added: "Tungsten grades continue to be positive, and it is also pleasing to see further evidence of copper mineralisation."
Looking ahead, Thor said the drill rig has now moved to the Samarkand deposit for the second part of the programme.
Thor shares were trading 1.9% higher in London on Monday at 0.26 pence each.
