LONDON (Alliance News) - Third Point Offshore Investors Ltd said on Thursday that Chairman Marc-Antoine Autheman resigned with immediate effect due to a conflict with his other business interests.
He will be replaced by Non-Executive Director Claire Whittet, on an acting basis, and the board plans to appoint an independent search company to find suitable permanent candidates for the role.
Autheman had been chairman at Third Point for 11 years since 2007, and is currently chairman of Belgian financial services company Euroclear for five years since 2013.
"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Marc-Antoine Autheman for his significant contribution to the company over the last 11 years. His hard work and wise counsel since the company's launch has been invaluable and we all wish him well in his future endeavours," Whittet said.
Shares in Third Point Offshore Investors were up 0.7% at USD15.60 on Thursday.
