LONDON (Alliance News) - The Mercantile Investment Trust PLC Wednesday said it underperformed its benchmark in the three months ended April 30.
In a statement, the trust said its share price return fell 0.9% during the quarterly period. Its net asset value per share increased 1.2% to 1,721.5 pence, but its benchmark, the FTSE All-Share index excluding FTSE 100 constituents and investment companies, increased 1.4%.
The Mercantile Investment Trust shares closed up 0.1% at 1,518 pence on Wednesday.
