(Alliance News) - Tharisa PLC on Thursday announced the appointment of Shelley Wai Man Lo as a non-executive director, effective from the company's February 10 annual general meeting.
Lo represents Hong Kong-based construction business NWS Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary which has a 15% stake in Tharisa.
Lo has more than 20 years' experience in accounting, project investment and management in the infrastructure business in Hong Kong and mainland China.
She is an assistant director at Roads of NWS Infrastructure Management Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NWS.
Additionally, Tharisa said Vaneese Wing Ye Chu will no longer be available to stand for re-election to the board at the AGM and so her nomination has been withdrawn. Chu has been on the board only since this past September.
"Despite her relatively short tenure as member of the board, Ms Chu has made a valuable contribution to the companyn and the board wishes her well," Tharisa said.
The platinum and chrome miner's shares were up 0.8% at ZAR26.55 each in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon. They were up 0.7% at 129.87 pence in London.
