Thalassa Holdings Wins Seismic Contract With ConocoPhilips

LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy services company Thalassa Holdings Ltd on Monday said its WGP Group subsidiary has signed a contract to provide long-term seismic acquisition services to the Scandinavian arm of US oil and gas major ConocoPhilips.

WGP will acquire seismic data for the Ekofisk field in the Norwegian part of the North Sea under a five-year contract, financial details on which were not disclosed.

Thalassa did, however, provide guidance on revenue for 2016 and 2017. It expects the two seismic contracts it currently has in place to produce USD7.5 million to USD10.0 million in 2016 and between USD10.0 million and USD12.0 million in revenue in 2017.

Thalassa said its revenue guidance didn't include any potiential revenue from High Resolution 3-D and from multi-client data sales, which its said are estimated to amount to USD9.3 million of total estimated revenue of USD18.5 million in 2015.

However, Thalassa said it didn't any High Resolution 3-D contract awards until Spring 2016.

Shares in Thalassa were up 0.9% to 42.90 pence early Monday.
