LONDON (Alliance News) - Tengri Resources on Monday said it has received assay results for the first five drill holes at the Taldybulak gold and copper project in the Kyrgyz Republic, with significant gold and copper intersections in each drill hole.
Tengri said the drilling results also confirmed that the deposit's gold and copper grades increase with depth.
The company said the TB0116 hole found high-grade gold at 2.84 grams per tonne and found 0.5% copper.
The high-grade mineralised zone remains open and shows increasing grades of both gold and copper the further the holes are drilled down, and the results are expected to generate an improved mineral resource classification and increased estimates of metal content at the prospect.
"The intersection of high-grade mineralisation at Taldybulak in our recent drilling provides further evidence of the effectiveness of our phased development programme," said Gary Lewis, Tengri's executive chairman.
Tengri shares were up 0.7% to 3.40 pence on Monday.
