LONDON (Alliance News) - Tengri Resources Ltd Thursday said it has begun the diamond drilling campaign and awarded and signed an agreement for a company to conduct the scoping study on the the Taldybulak project in Kyrgyzstan.
The 2,500 metre drilling campaign on the gold and copper project will optimise the first phase of mine planning at the site and upgrade and expand the resource.
The local scoping study at Talkdybulak has been awarded to Kazakh Mineral Co, which will investigate the viability of establishing a mine and processing facility to recover gold and copper concentrate from the higher-grade, sheeted vein domain, or phase one of the project, in conjunction with a conceptual study to determine options for mineral recovery from the Taldybulak deposit.
It also said the amount of staff at the Talkdybulak project has increased to around 55 people from only 16 since the start of the drilling campaign, and this will rise to around 60 people as the programme progresses throughout 2015.
"We are pleased to have another season of drilling underway at Taldybulak. This is now our second year of working on license and we would like to thank our local partners for their ongoing support and co-operation," said Executive Chairman Gary Lewis.
Tengri shares were down 3.1% to 3.15 pence per share on Thursday morning.
